‘Manahattan Love Bistro’ sees Debra performing and recording the music she was raised on – a mixture of Jazz, Gospel, Blues and Soul. The band features some of Australia’s finest jazz musicians: Dale Barlow (sax & flute), Jonathon Zwartz (bass), Sean Wayland (fender rhodes and piano, Tim Rollinson (guitar) and Gordon Rytmeister (drums).

" My father was a jazz musician, (in fact he might be a little hurt by that) I should say, is a jazz musician. He raised me on Louis Armstrong and taught me to comp on the piano, so he could solo on the trumpet. Even tho' I sing in many styles, I never get quite the reaction, that I do, when I sing a jazz tune.

I have to say, it's my first love. Something certainly clicks into gear and locks in deep.

I could never exhaust the possibilities or the challenge, jazz presents me with. I like that. "
